DEFY THE ODDS AND GO THE DISTANCE!!!!
If you are in a storm (life's bull&%$#) and you don't feel like you have the strength to get through...DO IT ANYWAY!!!!!
I know you are tired and nothing is looking good...but the end zone is coming up...Just remain faithful and endure!!
I was thinking earlier this morning about ALL of the clients I have been blessed to work with, friends I've assisted, strangers who try to quickly grab some nuggets of data to help them get motivated to change, etc.
I am BLESSED to be in the position I am in when it comes to helping those who WANT help…Get some insight to the issues preventing them from getting to their ULTIMATE goal of LOOKING and FEELING beautiful when they look at themselves in the mirror!
The thing I NEED to stress to you is that I am coming from a place of LOVE and COMPASSION when I delve into my thoughts and elaborate on them in the hopes of inspiring at LEAST one person to make positive LASTING change!
Here are a couple of things to note before I start:
1. I am NOT a psychologist and I have never claimed to be!
2. I am NOT a nutritionist and I have and will never bridge that gap.
3. I am NOT a doctor and I have and will never treat of diagnose injuries or illnesses.
4. I do however have a MASTERS DEGREE in life and hopefully soon will have my PHD…So all that I am going to share is some of the curriculum of my studies!!! ;)
A new “smart” fork is designed to help you lose weight by telling you how fast you’re eating and how much.
The HAPIfork, created by a French engineer, contains a bunch of electronics in the handle that will vibrate and flash to indicate when you are eating too fast.
Originally designed for clinical use in teaching overweight and obese patients to eat slower, it has now gone mainstream.
Eating too quickly can easily result in consumption of more calories since it takes a while for your brain to register how much you’ve eaten.
Along with monitoring how fast or slow you eat, it will also tell you the number of servings or forkfuls your have eaten during a meal, the length of time of your meal and how many servings per minute you ate.
For those who want to keep track of all this information, the fork has a built-in USB port allowing you to download the info from the fork to your online account or to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
It also has an a spoon attachment for those who prefer soup or cereal and comes in multiple colors. At a hefty $99 and a decent size, it is yet to be seen if this hi-tech fork will catch on.
Awesome...Are you bringing out your own "awesome?"
To define the word...I would have to say that its something that inspires AWE!
Have you ever felt like you inspired yourself? Have you faced an obstacle that seemed to be overwhelming and looks like it was not going to be conquered by little ol' you? What about something as small as navigating the streets without getting a speeding ticket? Or, getting a "good job" from your boss at work or a customer thanked you for helping them?
I would consider those to be awesome!
YES...I SAID IT!!!
I want you to get INCREDIBLY frustrated!
All those things you've been thinking about that are KEPPING you from getting to your goal of a couple of lbs less of fat, muscle or strengthen your knee cause of surgery...I WANT you to get MAD at those things!!!
I want you to develope an INTENSE hate for those things and decide RIGHT now to either get them out of your mind or life...if they are things you can avoid...but if they are things out of your control like traffic and weather...SUCK IT UP AND DEIVE ON SOLDIER!!!
Naw, in kidding about sucking it up an dealing with it...I mean, we need to be able to develope a STRONG enough psychology that we can endure and conquer anything that jumps into our path made to derail progress!
So for now, I want you to keep STACKING on the frustration and let it anger you enough to make a change!!!
That's all for now...I'm having you dwell on it for a reason!!! ;)
Have a blessed day and talk to ya soon!!
Its well documented that lack of sleep makes you less productive. But as it turns out, it could also make you fatter.
According to a study from the University of Chicago, sleep deprivation can reduce fat cells sensitivity to insulin, which plays a major role in energy storage and use. This reduced insulin sensitivity can itself lead to a reduction in the production of the hunger regulation hormone leptin and an increase in the production in the hunger stimulation hormone ghrelin.
What have you done lately to build yourself back up?
I know you have been putting in extra hours at work, cooking dinner for your family, helping your kids with their homework, cleaning the house, putting up with an OVER ACHIEVING spouse that forgets to help you with your ISH, etc.
But, what have you done for yourself to help heal your soul and strengthen your fire?
I hear TOO often that you are never able to find time for yourself to relax. I hear all the time that this is the way it has been for many years and nothing is ever going to change. I hear all the time that no one appreciates your efforts and that if they did, they would pitch in to help out more.
You know what...ITS TIME TO CUT LOOSE!!!
